The grande dame of the Platinum Coast: coral-stone elegance, three golf courses and butler service above a calm, swimmable beach.

Aman's serene retreat of timber pavilions and reflecting ponds above an empty turquoise cove, inside a nature reserve.

A new beachfront enclave with residences, three pools and a long sweep of soft sand, built for unhurried family weeks.

Butler-served beachfront calm on the gated Cap Cana coast, with a marina, swim-up suites and championship golf nearby.

An icon of family fun on Paradise Island: a vast waterpark, marine habitats and miles of beach a hop from Nassau.

The places

Swipe to explore · the islands worth knowing

The most glamorous little island in the Caribbean, French to its core. St Barths pairs designer boutiques and harbour-front dining in Gustavia with a string of beautiful, low-key beaches reached down winding hillside lanes.

A beach for every day of the year, or so the island likes to say. Antigua is gentle, swimmable bays, the Georgian dockyards of English Harbour and a famous sailing week, all set around one of the prettiest coastlines in the region.

Powder-soft sand, water in every shade of turquoise and the celebrated sweep of Grace Bay. Quiet and low-rise, Providenciales is built for barefoot days, world-class diving along the reef wall and the kind of beach that needs no improving.

Calm, swimmable beaches on the west, wild Atlantic surf on the east, and a warmth all its own. The Platinum Coast holds the grand hotels and beach clubs, while the island keeps a real character of rum shops, cricket and Friday-night fish fries.

A private island of villas, empty beaches and complete discretion in the Grenadines. Famously the bolt-hole of royalty and rock stars, Mustique is gentle hills, a handful of bars and bays you may well have entirely to yourself.
Signature experiences

Your own crewed catamaran to island-hop the Grenadines at your own pace, anchoring in bays few ever reach.

A private boat through the Exuma cays to the famous swimming pigs, with snorkelling and a sandbar lunch along the way.

You are dropped on a bare sandbar in the middle of the turquoise, with a table laid in the shallows and nobody else in sight.

A private yacht out of Soufriere as the light goes gold on the Pitons, with Champagne as you slip below the great green peaks.

A private skipper takes you to the calm west coast to swim quietly among green turtles over the reef, well before the crowds.

An early crossing to a private island before the day-trippers, the beach and its famous flamingos all but to yourselves.

A naturalist leads you through the misty interior to hidden falls and volcanic springs, finishing with a soak and a long lunch.

A stretch of sand laid with a single table at sunset, a private chef and sommelier, and the sound of the sea for company.
