In their own words.
What it feels like to travel with us, told by the people we plan for.
The truest measure of a journey is how it is remembered. These are a few of the words our travellers have sent home, gathered from honeymoons, family safaris, milestone celebrations and quiet escapes.
From the first call, it felt like handing the planning to a close friend with very good taste. Every hotel was exactly right, and the little touches, the dinner held for our anniversary, the boat waiting at dawn, were things we never thought to ask for.

Honeymoon in Tanzania & Zanzibar
Travelling with three generations and two fussy children is no small thing. Somehow the whole trip flowed. The guides were endlessly patient, the lodge felt made for us, and for once I came home rested rather than relieved it was over.

Multi-generational safari in Kenya
I wanted somewhere to mark turning fifty that did not feel like a package. What we got was a week of complete calm, a villa I never wanted to leave and a sense, throughout, that someone had thought of everything before I had.

Milestone birthday in the Maldives
We are not easy to please and we ask a lot of questions. Every one was answered honestly, including the gentle steering away from a hotel we had set our hearts on. They were right. The one they chose was perfect.

Island hopping in Greece
After a difficult year I simply wanted to switch off, and I could not face the planning. They took it entirely off my hands. I arrived to a room with the sea in the window and did not look at my phone for ten days.

Wellness escape in the Indian Ocean
The children still talk about the elephants at the waterhole and the chef who taught them to make bread. As parents, we noticed the seamless transfers and the fact that nothing, at any point, went wrong. That is rare.

Family safari in South Africa
A proposal is a lot of pressure to get right. They arranged a private terrace, a sunset and a discretion I will always be grateful for. She said yes. The rest of the trip was simply the most beautiful holiday we have ever taken.

Romantic escape in Santorini
We have used other travel companies and always felt like a booking. Here we felt known. One person, from the first idea to the moment we landed home, who understood exactly how we like to travel and never let a detail slip.

Behind the words
A few journeys, in full.
A honeymoon written around two very different travellers
Isabel and her husband came to us wanting a honeymoon that was both adventurous and restful, which is harder to reconcile than it sounds. We shaped a journey that opened with a private camp on the plains and closed on a quiet stretch of the Zanzibar coast, so the days of early game drives gave way to nothing but sea and sleep. The dawn boat and the anniversary dinner were ours to suggest. The result was a trip that felt like two holidays in one, with not a single transfer for them to think about. You can see how we approach this kind of journey on our safari and wilderness page.
Three generations, one lodge, no compromises
Marcus wanted to gather his parents, his sister and his own young family in one place, which meant a property that could hold a milestone dinner and entertain a six-year-old in the same afternoon. We chose a private-use camp where the family had the run of the place, paired guides who are wonderful with children, and built in slower days so nobody felt rushed. The brief was simple in words and complicated in practice, which is exactly the sort of thing we like to take off our travellers' hands. Our family luxury approach grew from trips like this one.
A quiet escape that asked for nothing in return
Sophie came to us at the end of a hard year and asked, more or less, to be looked after. We kept the plan deliberately spare: one beautiful island, one room with the sea in the window, and a rhythm built entirely around rest. There was no itinerary to keep up with and nothing to organise on arrival. We chose the hotel from places we know personally, the sort we keep on our Atlas Edit, and for ten days she did very little, beautifully. It remains one of our favourite kinds of trip to plan.
